Noemia Kazue Ishikawa, author of ‘Brilhos na Floresta’ and ‘A porteira Azul’, is a semifinalist for the 2023 Jabuti Award in the Innovation category for her work titled ‘Linklado: digital keyboard for indigenous languages’. The app addresses the issue of indigenous languages being excluded from the digital revolution due to their unique characters not available on standard keyboards. The Linklado app supports over 40 indigenous languages and was created by Samuel Minev Benzecry and Juliano Portela. The winners will be announced on December 5, 2023.
