Luiza Romão, poet and winner of the 2022 Jabuti Award, launched her book “Também Guardamos Pedras Aqui” at the same place where she started reciting poetry publicly ten years ago, the Slam da Guilhermina in São Paulo. The book, inspired by the Greek epic “Iliad,” explores themes of youth and social engagement and Romão plans to tour France, Argentina, Mexico, and Germany to promote it. She discusses her choice to focus on Greek poetry and the influence of Greek culture in our society, emphasizing the need to explore other cultural traditions as well.
